Name: Jake DeMarte
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 212 lbs.
Date of Birth: 03/30/81
Hometown: San Jose, California
Alignment (Face/Tweener/Heel): Heel
Wrestling Style: Primarily Mat-Based, with a tendancy to go to a more aerial-based style the longer a match goes on.
Match Strategy (optional): Jake wrestles in such a way that he turns matches into mindgames with his opponents, especially those bigger or more physically dominant than him. He constantly attempts to anger opponents in hopes of creating an opening to exploit. His downfall is that once he decides upon a strategy, he will rarely change his mind, even when it isn't working the way he would have liked.
Appearance: Jake has medium length unkempt dirty blonde hair. His face, as usual, has a fairly dark five o’clock shadow that makes his eyes seem to be a lighter shade of blue than they really are. Jake usually dresses in plain blue jeans and lighter colored shirts, with his preference being plain white Tees.
When in the ring, Jake dons a pair of white trunks, white boots, and black elbow/knee pads. He rarely wears a shirt, which shows off an upper body Jake’s fairly proud of. He’s not huge by any means, but Jake’s muscle is very toned, and he prefers it that way. Jake’s forearms are also shown, and are heavily tattooed mostly with references to his newly found ‘Never Say Die’ attitude, and his devotion to his family. He also sports a Tombstone shaped tattoo on his upper back that has RIP, the year 2004, and no name on it. This tattoo is a tribute to Jake’s unborn son from back in 2004 during his HWL run. Jake largely blames himself for the death of his unborn son, and got the tattoo as a reminder to himself of the consequences his actions can have, for both himself and others.
Short Bio: Over the last few years, Jake has been in and out of Pro Wrestling more than Britney has been in and out of rehab. It all began for Jake in Canada's HWL. Jake was successful as a main-eventer in the early days of HWL, but drifted down to the midcard later on in HWL’s run. Jake briefly rose back up to the main event when he beat Ravaged, but quickly fell again following a match with X Dragon just over two weeks later. Following the loss, Jake lost most of his desire for competition and fell into an early retirement to be with his wife and son. He briefly returned to the wrestling scene again to manage young upstart Jirair Sasuni in Pro Wrestling Spirit, but after Spirit phased out, so did both Jirair and Jake. Since then, Jake has been focusing on improving himself as both a wrestler and individual. Jake is still the same cocky, vulgar guy for the most part, but he’s toned it down enough that he’s garnered support from crowds at the small local wrestling shows he’s been working. He followed this with a brief stint in Lion's Road that was unsucessful. Now, after being encouraged by old HWL friend Eddie Weiss to give it anothe shot, Jake has made his way to GCW. Shortly after arriving in GCW, Jake began to once again show his true colors and did not refrain from doing whatever neccassary to win. These tendancies cullminated in winning the MLWA Title on 6/24/07.
