::The camera shot opens backstage, outside of a closed wooden door. As the camera pans out, we see a nearby sign says "Male Locker Room". GCW Interviewer Kyle Wilton walks into the camera shot, microphone in hand towards the door. Just as he reaches to knock on the door, it opens to reveal none other than Dave Milan!::
Milan (With an almost feigned happiness) - Hey Kyle, how's it goin' bro?
Kyle - That's exactly what I'd like to ask you, Mr. Milan. How do you feel knowing you just won your first GCW match and that you will be meeting David Hilt next week in the semi-finals of the GCW Heavyweight Championship finals?
Milan (Smiles and laughs lightly) - Listen buddy, call me Dave, alright? Just 'cause you're an interviewer doesn't mean anything! Now, about your question. How does it feel...how does it feel?
::Milan lowers his head and lets his eyes hit the floor as he rubs a hand against his chin::
Milan (Dejected) - Honestly, I hate to say something like this, ya know...but.. (Milan raises his face with a smile once more) ...it feels pretty awesome!
::Milan laughs and places a hand on Kyle's shoulder::
Milan - Kyle, let me give you a quick history lesson. There's a reason no one knows, excuse me, knew who I was. Dave Milan has never, ever been the main event. Ya know, it seems no matter how many times I prove to the guys in back that I can go the distance and that I can outsmart you in the ring, I just never get to main event. I've hit the proverbial glass ceiling, dude. And for the past three years, it's been hard to know you can easily beat some of the guys getting title shots. I just have never got that opportunity to shine.
But, now, here in GCW... that's changed. Earlier tonight, I pinned Arik Arrogance in the ring after everyone thought he had me beat. I have once again proved to everyone, I can go the distance. And next week, I'm meeting David Hilt to show that it wasn't a fluke. Next week, I'm breaking that proverbial ceiling, Kyle. I'm not going to just break it, I'm going to shatter it! (Milan is getting riled up, showing how passionate he is about this) After next week, no one is going to be asking 'Who is Dave Milan?' anymore. Next week is... -
::Milan trails off as the door behind him opens once more. The camera spins to reveal Rich Maxwell walking out of the room, a white envelope in his hand. Milan turns to face him, his face extremely stern and serious. Maxwell stares back with a confident smirk on his face, clearly not letting the awkward tension phase him.::
Kyle - Uh, excuse me, Mr. Maxwell. What are you doing here?
::Rich ignores Kyle's question as he raises the envelope to Milan's chest and taps it a few times against him.::
Rich Maxwell - There's a lot here. Think about it, Dave.
::Maxwell walks away as Milan stares after him, not even moving. After a moment he runs a hand through his hair and sighs heavily.::
Kyle - Um, Dave, what was that?
Milan (Very distant, barely paying attention) - Huh? Oh...yeah. Uh..next week...is, uh... it's gonna be a tough decision.. a very, very tough decision...
::Milan wanders away, clearly distraught about something. Kyle remains standing there, looking confused at the events that have just unfolded::
