The scene starts in an airport terminal in Boston, Massachusetts. Caleb is walking out of the terminal, with his bag on his shoulder. He goes around to the parking lot, where a friend was supposed to pick him up. When he steps into the lot, he gets stopped by a young boy.
Young boy: Excuse me, you match the description of the person I’m looking for.
Caleb: What do you mean, “match the description?” You have a problem with Goths?
Young boy: What? Umm…no, I’m looking for one Caleb Lanseng, I’m supposed to interview him for the GCW.
Caleb: Oh, you’re the interviewer? Your just a kid. But anyway, what’s your name?
Young boy: My names Kyle Wilton, sir.
Caleb: Alright, Kyle, shall we get this interview under way then?
Kyle: Yes, I suppose we should. Lets start with something simple. Why did you decide to join GCW?
Caleb: It’s simple, I needed new competition, working Indy shows here in Boston is great, but I get tired of fighting the same people. Plus, I love being in the ring, and one show every month or so, doesn’t cut it for me. Now, from previous injuries, I know I’m not ready to go back on a weekly schedule, so this is fine for me.
Kyle: You just mentioned previous injuries, care to elaborate?
Caleb: Of course not, now all wrestlers suffer those minor injuries, but I don’t mean things like that. A little while after I joined my first federation a few years ago, I suffered an arm injury. You’d be surprised what falling off a ladder can do. Didn’t help that I landed directly on my arm. Now, after I recovered, I joined a new federation. I had a new fire inside me after that injury. Being on the shelf is one of the worst things to happen to a professional wrestler. We thrive on competition. In this second federation, which will remain nameless, I became much more reckless, I know, you’d think I would have became more careful, but I didn’t. Then, I got injured again, this time it was my knee.
I wasn’t thinking that night, I tried to Powerbomb a fucking giant, a 450 pound giant. My knee gave out, but I did it, I powerbombed him, but I collapsed, and ended up with a strained knee in the hospital. Now, here I am, a few months after rehab.
Kyle: Wow, seems you’ve been through a lot. Do you think your luck will fare better here?
Caleb: Hopefully. Its why I want to work a lighter schedule, but like I said, local Indy shows are too light a schedule.
Kyle: How far do you think you’ll get in GCW?
Caleb: Who knows? I’ll go as far as I can, as soon as I can. I know it won’t be easy, I saw the debut show, GCW has great talent. I’m only gonna add to it. See, Kyle, I’ve worked with some of the best wrestlers in pro wrestling. I’ve faced giants, I’ve faced cruiserweights, I’ve faced some of the best submissions and mat wrestlers, I’ve been in the ring with insane high-flyers like myself. Hell, I once fought a guy who tried to stab my girlfriend to “psyche” me out. But I’ve beaten them all. I’ve been through steel cages, I’ve fallen off ladders, I’ve been put through tables. See, I have the one thing it takes to be the best. Determination, that’s all it takes. I’m determined to be the best I can be.
No one gets in the way of what I want. I take everything seriously when I step in a ring. I do whatever it takes, even if it injures me in the process. I once power bombed a guy off some scaffolding in a scaffolding match, just to make sure their was NO chance of him beating me. But don’t let that change what you think of me, Kyle. I’m a really nice person outside of the ring.
Kyle: Uhh…right…anyway… what do you plan on trying to accomplish when you first get in GCW?
Caleb: I’m not really sure, I mean, GCW has only had one show so far. Now, I don’t know if I’m gonna make it on the card or not, but if I am, you can guarantee that I’m gonna put on a hell of a show. As far as titles go, sure, the World title is my long-term goal, but first, I think I just want to get my bearings here, learn what I’m up against in the title hunt… you know, just get a feel for the GCW.
Kyle: You have any idea on someone you might like to fight first?
Caleb: Uhh…no one really. Like I said, the second show hasn’t even happened yet. I haven’t seen much of the talent.
Kyle: What can the fans of GCW expect to see from you in the ring?
Caleb: You can expect to see a lot of varying stuff from me, expect to see one of the finest high-flyers in me, and expect me to pull out some submissions and mat work when you least expect it. Nothing is impossible when I get in the ring.
Kyle: Going back to something you mentioned earlier, do you think previous injuries might inhibit you in the ring in any way?
Caleb: I’m not really sure, I was just in rehab not too long ago, I’ve pretty much avoided anything “big” in the Indy circuit as far as high-flying goes, I guess we’ll just have to let me get in the ring and see what I can do.
Kyle: I’ve got one more question for you. I saw your name being advertised for an Indy show, I suppose one that was here last night, and you were labeled as the “Got…go-
Caleb: Gotische Engel. I think that’s what you are trying to say. Correct?
Kyle: Yes. Care to explain what that means?
Caleb: It’s German for “Gothic Angel”. Its just a name that popped into my head one day, and I stuck with it. Some people don’t like it, but I really don’t care what they think.
Kyle: Well, I guess that’s about it, thank you for your time, sir, I suppose I’ll see you again soon.
Caleb: Alright, bye, kid, I need to get my ride anyway, my friends probably already pissed at me.
Kyle and the cameraman walk off as Caleb walks over to a car with someone standing outside of it, Caleb puts his bags in the trunk and the two get in the car and drive off.
Young boy: Excuse me, you match the description of the person I’m looking for.
